What Students Will Learn
Each lesson is personalized based on the student’s experience level and musical goals, but here’s a general idea of what we cover:
Beginner Students
Introduction to the instrument—proper posture, hand positioning, and technique
Reading music—understanding notes, rhythm, and key signatures
Playing simple songs—building confidence from day one
Fun exercises—learning through movement, games, and creativity
Intermediate & Advanced Students
Expanding technique—more complex hand coordination and expressive playing
Music theory—chords, scales, ear training, and improvisation
Learning more advanced pieces—developing fluency and musicality
Performance preparation—confidence-building for recitals and personal enjoyment

If you let us know at least 24 hours in advance, you’ll receive a makeup credit that can be used within 30 days (up to 2 at a time). We do our best to offer flexible options, but makeup credits are not available for last-minute cancellations or no-shows.

Yes. Regular practice is key. Piano students should have a keyboard or acoustic piano, and violin students need a properly sized instrument. We offer piano rentals at HeartStrings School of Music. I can help with violin rental recommendations.

We also incorporate music theory, ear training, and technique development.

Yes. We hold seasonal recitals where students can showcase their progress in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Private lessons are available in three session lengths to fit different learning styles and experience levels:
❤️ 30-minute lessons – Great for young beginners
❤️ 45-minute lessons – Ideal for progressing students
❤️ 60-minute lessons – Perfect for dedicated learners ready for a challenge
Private lessons are scheduled once per week and are paid on a monthly basis. Space is limited, so register soon to secure your spot!

Monthly tuition rates for 2025 schedule:
❤️ 30-minute lessons: $160 per month
❤️ 45-minute lessons: $200 per month
❤️ 60-minute lessons: $240 per month
Private lessons are scheduled once per week and are paid on a monthly basis.

We offer piano lessons starting at age 5 and violin lessons starting at age 6-7 (depending on the child's coordination and readiness).
Any age above that are welcome; yes, even adults!
